An adventure just their size
The pony ride at Ranch des Dunes is designed for the youngest riders. The experience lasts one hour: your child starts by grooming and preparing their pony with the guide's help — a bonding moment with the animal that builds confidence. Then they set off for a 45-minute ride around the ranch, through sand dunes and desert landscapes.
Your child rides independently in the saddle, while the guide walks alongside and leads the pony by hand at all times. Parents can walk along if they wish, or relax at the ranch's lounge area in complete peace of mind — our guides will look after your children as if they were their own.
A family moment
While your children enjoy their adventure, you can also plan a parallel experience for yourself, though the rides differ as the animals have different abilities. This is one of the great strengths of Ranch des Dunes: every family member finds an activity suited to their age and level.
Children who want to go further can also take riding lessons from age 5. Pony packages of 6h or 12h are available — combining rides and lessons — ideal if you are staying several days in Dakhla.
