At the pace of the Sahara
The camel ride at Ranch des Dunes is far more than a simple stroll: it's an authentic immersion into the Saharan world. Dressed in a traditional djellaba and cheche, you take your seat on a padded, comfortable saddle and set off to discover the breathtaking landscapes surrounding the ranch at the slow, swaying pace of the camels — endless desert, wind-sculpted cliffs, and the Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop.
Enjoy a break at a pop-up bivouac facing the ocean, savouring freshly prepared mint tea. Our cameleer guides watch over you at every moment and take photos and videos that you'll receive for free. A unique moment of contemplation, perfect for families or groups of friends.
Carefully trained camels
Our camels live in semi-freedom around the Ranch, enjoying their natural environment. They are specially trained for rides and are remarkably calm. While waiting for you, they sit on the sand with their front legs folded beneath them, making it easy to mount. Their calm, soothing pace ensures a pleasant ride for everyone.
The ride is free for children under 3, and the camels can carry a single adult or an adult with a child, the latter seated securely at the front. It's important not to overload them — our cameleers care for each camel like a family member: proper nutrition, freedom of movement between rides, and never more than three hours of work per day.
